Perhaps Boston can be best described as
a welcome contradiction: Hip alongside historic. Skyscrapers
surround parks. Gourmet meets pizza. Just as the city pays
homage to every period of America’s timeline, it also serves
as all things to all people. Over 18 million people visit
the city annually, making it a leading tourist destination.
If traveling by train or bus, one can arrive
at South Station or Boston Back Bay (nearest train station).

Attractions &
Activities
Boston has a terrific amount of activities.
The museums in Boston are among the finest in the United
States, and range from fine and contemporary arts, science
and nature, history, and much more. Boston also has a teeming
entertainment calendar, filled with music concerts, theater,
and sports. There are also numerous sightseeing tours to
further explore the city and region.
The
ILA’s 12th Annual Global Conference takes place October
27 – 30, 2010, which is in the middle of the Autumnal months
in Boston. Boston is at its most beautiful in the
fall. As the leaves turn, Boston’s parks put on an unforgettable
show, complementing the historic architecture.
A walk along the city’s Freedom Trail now
doubles as a leaf peeping tour. It’s a great time to visit
Boston's Faneuil Hall Marketplace as the crowds thin out,
but the weather is still pleasant. On a cooler day take
a stroll through the gorgeous indoor courtyard of the Isabella
Stewart Gardner Museum.
No other region of the country displays
fall’s colors like New England. A trip north of Boston to
Kittery, Maine, will make for a dazzling show—and provide
plenty of great shopping opportunities at the Kittery Outlets.
The Cape in the fall is especially charming.
